Welcome to my blog!

It’s filled with personal musings on the weird and wonderful delights of living on the North Kent coast, in the strangely entrancing Margate (which I fondly call ‘Margit’). Once known as the pleasure town for the Victorians, it’s now awakening from a 20 year slumber, redefining itself as a cultural hub. And no wonder with such a creative community and the newly opened Turner Contemporary.

I’ve been mesmerised by the town since I moved here in late August 2010, and here I tell my many tales – from “Mind the poo” tours to stunning sunsets, salt beef sandwiches, retro finds and historic gems. I also muse on my book devouring, art and craft loving ways.

I hope you enjoy!
